An internship with Denver-based ad agency Cactus Communications provided me with a wealth of experience copywriting, planning and strategizing while working on the Grit Digital Health account and its core product, YOU at College. The YOU portal addresses the well-being crisis in higher education through a proactive and technology-driven approach. The online portal optimizes resources and content for each student's individual needs.
I assisted in launching the portal at two universities (Colorado Mesa University and Colorado State University) for by writing and contributing to more than 100 pieces of content, developing promotional and social media tactics, and organizing every detail of the Content Management System. Additionally, I developed internal processes to aid in the site's scalability and future content production, including a style guide.
As the Editor-in-Chief of the Ram Life 2016 Orientation Guide, I led the charge in creating this publication for distribution to 4,500+ incoming students. Straddling the line between representing CSU and communicating essential information, my responsibilities included revamping previous articles, writing compelling new content, and developing campus partnerships to create a representative university publication. At the core of this position was organization - I created a schedule, mapped content, set deadlines and managed team expectations.
The following pieces were published in The Fashion Report, an online and print lifestyle and fashion magazine serving the Fort Collins and Colorado State University community.
I was a writer and contributor to this publication from August 2013 to January 2015.

As a fashion and style blogger for the Rocky Mountain Collegian, I wrote 2-3 aggregate posts each day. I reported on local, national, and international style trends and news.

The FocoFem project was a group effort to showcase the female empowerment present in the Fort Collins community. Multimedia elements such as audio clips, videos, and slideshows were used to supplement articles profiling four influential women making waves in Northern Colorado. Featured subjects were non-profit owner Julie Reed, Mayor Karen Weitkunat, and Student Body President Sam Guinn. The project was centered around "The Ripple Effect", an initiative geared toward making Colorado State University the best place for women to learn and work.
